Annual Professional Conference on Grief & Loss

The Annual Professional Conference on Grief and Loss will be held virtually, and you will receive further details and access information one week prior to the event. Registration is $30.00.

Registration opens September 1st and will run through Monday, October 16.

Topics will include:

– Learn Family Systems Theory and its relationship with grief and loss.
– Examine grief in the context of mental health and healthcare settings.
– Identify complicated mourning and how to provide care to clients exhibiting this.
– Have a better understanding of how counselors can help clients through grief and loss.

About The Presenter:

Dr. Janice Nadeau is an internationally recognized expert in the field of death, dying, and bereavement. Her ground-breaking research on how families make sense of the death of a family member has drawn attention from both scholars and front-line practitioners around the world for three decades. Her book, Families Making Sense of Death, published by Sage in 1998, has become a classic. As a P.H.D. Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist and Nurse Clinical Specialist, Dr. Nadeau’s knowledge and skills cut across disciplines. Her roles have included hospice nurse, college faculty, researcher, grief educator, marriage and family therapist, psychotherapist, and author.
