EATING FOR EDUCATION
Supporting Davidson County teachers through community partnerships, restaurant participation, and chamber member sponsorship.
About The Program
Eating for Education is a grant program facilitated by the Lexington, Northern Davidson County, and Thomasville Chambers of Commerce that supports teachers in Davidson County. Funds raised through participating Chamber member restaurants and business sponsors are awarded as grants to help bring innovative classroom projects and educational opportunities to local schools.
How It Works
Participating Restaurants
Chamber member restaurants play a vital role in the success of Eating for Education. By contributing a portion of sales from designated dining nights, participating restaurants help raise funds that directly support Davidson County teachers and students.
Restaurant participation is open to members of the Lexington Area, Northern Davidson County, and Thomasville Chambers of Commerce.
Teacher Grant Applications
Eating for Education grants are available to Davidson County educators seeking funding for innovative classroom projects, educational resources, and learning opportunities that enhance student success.
Applications are reviewed by a committee using established scoring criteria. Funding is awarded to projects that demonstrate creativity, educational impact, and alignment with the program’s mission.
